Principal Stephanie Zillig

Hi!  I’m Stephanie Zillig, and I am excited to be entering my 7th year serving as the principal of Madison Elementary.  I came from Jefferson Elementary, where I was a teacher, instructional coach, and school administrative manager for nine years. I have 3 (plus a daughter-in-law) great children and a husband who are an active part of the Muscatine Community School District.  William and Vada are graduates of MCSD.  Emma will be a junior at UNI next year, majoring in education! Annalise will be a senior at MHS.  They keep me very busy, and I love every minute of it! Go, Big Red!  I am a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska. I have a Masters’s in Education from Morningside College and my Administrative Degree from the University of Northern Iowa.  I have been teaching since 1998 and have taught every age, from preschool to adults, in both English and Spanish.

I LOVE working with kids:

  • We are all Learners.
  • We are Open to ideas.
  • We Value others.
  • Every person is important.
